Perched among the sandstone headlands and salt-washed streets of Vaucluse, this residence arrives with a brief as clear and considered as the view it faces, bringing the coast inside. The surrounding beaches, with their bleached sands, bright skies, and effortless ease, were the starting point for every material decision made. The result is an interior that feels less designed than discovered, it’s as though the house has always belonged to its landscape.

Briggs Veneers’ Beyond Bondi was the material answer the project called for. Part of the Beyond range; Briggs’ high-performance, ultra-realistic timber-look collection, the colourway Bondi captures the warmth and texture of a sun-bleached coastal palette with a fidelity that makes you look twice. Its sandy, light-toned aesthetic carries all the relaxed beauty of the Australian shoreline, without a single compromise on practicality.

For a home this close to the elements, performance matters as much as appearance. The Beyond range’s built-in UV resistance ensures the surface holds its colour and character over time, resisting the bleaching and fading that coastal light and sun exposure can inflict on lesser materials.
