There are spaces within a venue that the crowd never sees: rooms where the experience of live performance is savoured from a different vantage point entirely, where the energy of the arena is felt rather than absorbed. The private suite at Qudos Bank Arena is one such space – an intimate retreat designed and built by NVJ Design, the in-house design division of New Vision Joinery, for clients who expect nothing less than exceptional.

The brief called for warmth, sophistication, and a sense of arrival – a space that could hold its own against the spectacle happening just beyond the glass. The response was Briggs Veneers’ Beyond Esperance Walnut, a surface of extraordinary presence and ultra-realistic American Walnut character that brings the timeless appeal of natural timber to every panel, door, and joinery element in the suite. Rich, deeply grained, and unmistakably classic in its warmth, Esperance Walnut delivers the enduring beauty of American Walnut with the performance and consistency that a high-use, high-profile venue demands.

What makes the Beyond range remarkable, and what makes Esperance Walnut in particular so well suited to a project of this nature; is the precision with which it captures the genuine character of the timber it evokes. The depth of grain, the tonal variation from pale sapwood to rich heartwood, the quiet lustre that changes as the light shifts across the surface: it reads not as an interpretation of American Walnut, but as the real thing. For New Vision Joinery, a business built on the craft of exceptional joinery, it is a material that meets their standard and holds it.

The result is a private suite that feels removed from the ordinary, a space of considered luxury where every surface rewards a second look. Timeless, warm, and built to last.
