Dolce & Gabbana’s first Sydney flagship at the MLC Centre, Martin Place, is a masterpiece of Italian grandeur and architectural precision – designed by Parisian architect Eric Carlson of studio Carbondale in close collaboration with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Briggs Veneers’ Red Heart Gum, crown cut and bookmatched, takes centre stage in the polished display cases that line the sweeping glass facade – its rich, dramatic grain a fitting complement to the store’s palette of yellow Siena marble, black basalt, and 18th century Italian baroque antiques.
