Jarrah
Sourced from the forests of Western Australia, Australian Jarrah is one of the country’s most iconic and enduring hardwood species. Predominantly grown in the south-west region of the state, Jarrah is renowned for its strength, durability, and unmistakable depth of colour.
Its natural tones range from rich deep pinks and warm burgundy hues through to subtle purple undertones, creating a striking yet sophisticated palette. Over time, Jarrah matures beautifully, developing added warmth and depth that enhances both contemporary and traditional interiors.
Jarrah has played a significant role in Australia’s architectural history. It was widely used in structural beams, flooring, and joinery throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly in heritage buildings across Perth and regional Western Australia. Notable examples include elements within the historic precincts of Fremantle, as well as infrastructure and public buildings from the gold rush era. Jarrah was also famously exported to the United Kingdom and used in road paving blocks in London due to its exceptional durability.
Today, Natural Australian Jarrah continues this legacy — offering designers an authentic, locally sourced timber veneer that brings strength, richness, and unmistakable Australian character to any project.
